WARNING: Some of the following may contain spoilers for episodes you haven't seen, especially if you live outside the United States, which has currently seen all of season 1, 2, and 3, and is currently on season 4.

Season 1 | Season 2 | Season 3

1. Dream a Little Dream (originally called Re:Union and was shown with the original beginning and ending as Re:Union over Memorial Day weekend 2001--late May if you're not from the States)

Rygel had at least 23 wives, several of which had blue eyes (including the 23rd).

Also Rygel showed that he really does care about his shipmates, holding Zhaan's hand to comfort her in her cell.

He also got drunk as his way of dealing with Aeryn, John & D'Argo being gone.

2. Mind the Baby

Rygel was back to his usual self, ready to abandon Moya and a somewhat deranged Zhaan, along with Chiana, but agreed not to after Chiana pointed out that Pilot and Moya didn't abandon them during Zhaan's trial (as seen in DALD).

Rygel suffered from a difficulty in breathing when he saw that John, Aeryn & D'Argo were still alive, a reaction common in Hynerians when they "feel deep emotion". See, told you Rygel cared about his shipmates.

3. Vitas Mortis

His backside made the perfect plug for the inner hull breach in Moya to prevent the atmosphere and everything else in their from being blown outside.

He is ticklish on his feet, as Zhaan found out when she was checking him over after his ordeal.

4. Taking the Stone

Stoops to grave robbing a royal cemetery planet. Even more gross, when he found a bug crawling in his booty, he labeled it a "bonus" and ate it.

He was gaslighted by either the spirits to whom the stuff he stole rightfully belonged (or possibly by Zhaan and D'Argo, though they looked confused when he accused them of doing it). He finally gave in and returned the booty to the planet.

5. Crackers Don't Matter

Rygel appeared to be the least affected, at least in his attitude, of the crew. While he did stuff his face with crackers (and considering how much he eats, that's certainly no indication he was cracking up), he didn't get really excessively paranoid or hallucinating or anything like the others did.

However, poor Rygel did suffer in this episode. D'Argo, finding him eating the crackers, tossed him on the table, and then proceeded to jam crackers in his mouth, nearly choking Rygel to death. And the look on Rygel's face as he realized that was what D'Argo intended to do was priceless.

And later, when D'Argo asked his forgiveness for his mad behavior, Rygel refused to accept his apology--yet. That's a very big step for his eminence, and it is not unreasonable for Rygel to feel that way, after all D'Argo had tried to kill him and that will take a while to get over.

6. Picture If You Will

Rygel does know some chemistry apparently, as he knew which of Zhaan's many bottles to use to determine whether or not the tiara he bought was real.

Rygel showed grief for Chiana after he believed she'd died. He wanted to go back to Kyvan's ship and file claims against her for Chiana's death (a truly Hynerian attitude and one which he says that Chiana would've agreed with because that girl was almost Hynerian).

He snuck aboard Farscape 1 to go back to Kyvan's ship with Aeryn. And was totally surprised when Aeryn killed Kyvan and then the ship blew up & demanded to know how she knew that would happen. She told him that John told her to trust what Zhaan told her to do and follow it without question, and Rygel replies, "well, he didn't tell me." For which Aeryn had the obvious answer: "You never follow orders anyway."

7. The Way We Weren't (originally titled "Forgive and Forget")

Rygel doesn't play a large part in this episode, but the part he did play was as the catalyst for everything that happened between Aeryn and Pilot. He turned over the recording Chiana had found to Pilot and told him he should see it.

8. Home on the Remains

Rygel gambles to try to win enough money to buy meat for Zhaan (and incidently for himself also), but doesn't succeed.

He is forced to do actual manual labor, mining crystals out of the dead carcass to try to earn the money.

Bites John in an attempt to dislodge him from his throne sled when the keedva attacks (but John manages to keep hold).

According to John, who bit Rygel in return, the fried dentic he tried to eat earlier tasted better than Rygel does.

9. Out of Their Minds

Rygel is right in thinking that no one listens to him--Zhaan wouldn't believe John when he was in Rygel's body that it was okay to fire on Moya, but she would when Aeryn said it in John's body.

Again shows his concern for Zhaan at the end, asking her if her hand would be all right (the only one who did so after she returned from the aliens' ship).

Refused to leave Moya with Chiana (who was in D'Argo's body at the time) when the aliens were preparing to fire for a second time, because he was in John's body and he NEEDED his own body. Only a Hynerian royal could reclaim his throne and deal with his treacherous cousin Bishan, and no one would believe that he was Rygel XVI if he was in John's body.

Also had the unfortunate circumstance of having a call of nature while in John's body and therefore needed John (who was in Aeryn's body) to tell him how exactly to do that.

10. My Three Crichtons

Rygel doesn't have much of a part in this episode, other than saying that John's caveman ancestor is hideous, agreeing with future John that caveman John should be sacrificed, and waving a knife around saying "The first Crichton who comes near me, gets it."

11. Look at the Princess, pt. 1: A Kiss Is But a Kiss

12. Look at the Princess, pt. 2: I Do, I Think

13. Look at the Princess, pt. 3: The Maltese Crichton

14. Beware of Dog

15. Won't Get Fooled Again

16. The Locket

17. The Ugly Truth

18. A Clockwork Nebari

The induced mental cleansing that Aeryn & Rygel (and later the rest of the crew except Chiana and Pilot) endured (as opposed to the thorough mental cleansing given to Durka) can be broken down over time due to metabolism--and guess who has a high enough metabolism to break the cleansing? That's right, Rygel. Though that didn't stop him from pretending to be cleansed.

He made himself useful too this episode--he knocked Aeryn & D'Argo unconscious by doing exactly what they told him to do--'drop what your doing' which happened to be an electric cable.

19. Liars, Guns and Money, pt. 1: A Not So Simple Plan

Rygel was a key part of the crew's plan to rob the Shadow Depository: namely, he was hidden (after having his life signs suspended temporarily by one of Zhaan's concoctions and being made into a statue) in a box she was 'depositing'. He then grabbed a real box of loot after getting out of his statue and own deposited box. Too bad it was the one Natira was giving Scorpy...

20. Liars, Guns and Money, pt. 2: With Friends Like These

Rygel gets to whomp on Durka! He kills Durka and chops off his head as a bonus, using it as a warning for the gathered bounty hunters to not make waves. He later parades around in this episode and the next with 'Durka head on a stick'.

21. Liars, Guns and Money, pt. 3: Plan B

Rygel pilots the getaway vehicle when the crew go down to rescue John.

22. Die Me Dichotomy

Rygel's quite touching at the beginning: he's giving up all the loot they collected so that they can pay for a healer for Moya. Quite a change from his usual greedy self.

However, after his heartful goodbye to Aeryn at her funeral, he's back to looking out for himself again. He offers Grunchlk all the baubles he kept from the loot (3 small stones and 1 large one) for passage out of there.
